The History

Rainbow Club Australia Inc was founded by Mr Ron Siddons MBE in 1969 to provide swimming tuition for children with disabilities.
Mr Siddons saw a void in services for the disabled population and set about procuring funds and facilities to remedy the situation.
Mr Siddons’ dream was that Rainbow Clubs would be up and running all over Australia so that any child with a disability could access a Rainbow Club.
The Present… Today the dream IS a reality!

Rainbow Club Australia Inc now consists of a dedicated Board of Directors from the commercial, accounting and legal professions as well as Mr Siddons, parents and dedicated fundraisers.
There are now fifteen clubs of which 12 are located in NSW at: Bondi, Cronulla, Campbelltown, Epping, Goulburn, Lindfield, Liverpool, Newington/Leichhardt, Revesby, Warringah, Sutherland, Orange; plus we are delighted to have added Geelong in Victoria, Noosa in Queensland and Modbury in South Australia.
The aim and objective of each club is to give children with disabilities the same opportunity as their abled peers.
